I have wrote a book about LaTeX, "LaTeX2e - Tips und Tricks" (ISBN 3-932588-37-1), which has been published by dpunkt in Heidelberg (direct link). Here is a short list of themes I work on in the book:

• Creation or modification of the layout of sectioning, footnotes, indices and references;
• Creation of new indices and floating objects;
• cross-references for multi-volume documents, indices, glossaries;
• solutions for creation of flyers, opera text and song books, cassette and CD labels, questionaries;
• miscellaneous, exotic and PostScript fonts;
• creation and inclusion of graphics;

It is not intended as an introductory book, but instead it should show you how you can modify the presentation means of LATeX to achive certain layouts and how you can add new or further elements.
